Student Vote 2015

On May 4, 2015, Paddle Prairie School students took on the role of election officials and organized a Student Vote Day where students voted for the official candidates running in their electoral district.

Their vote followed a series of instruction and activities focused on provincial government, research into candidates, parties and issues, as well as dialogue with family and friends.

Statistics:

More than 90,000 elementary and secondary students under the voting age cast ballots in the Student Vote for the 2015 Alberta Provincial Election

In Northland School Division (includes Paddle Prairie School) five schools registered for the program and 178 students cast a Student Vote.
